With constant observation of scholarships awarded by other institutions and Dr. Nirund Jivasantikarn’s own educational experience, Yonok Foundation has successfully established Yonok Foundation Scholarship, which is unique among its kind since it awards local students who need financial support.

Since the inception of the university, Yonok Foundation has been awarding scholarships to students at Yonok University and other universities, including Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, and Mahidol University. In 2010, Yonok Foundation invited Mr. Mark Oppenheimer, Advisor of Yonok Foundation, to preside the award ceremony.

Current requirement for Yonok Foundation Scholars is maintaining good academic standing and participating in community projects initiated by the Foundation. These projects include promoting reading in the community and experiencing a farmer’s life. The Foundation also hosts events that aim to build leadership, interpersonal, and other essential skills for the Scholars. Lecturers from overseas were invited to conduct English workshop exclusively for Yonok Foundation Scholars under this program. Other activities were historical tourism, dinner talk, and broadening educational perspectives.
